Engine, trans, subframe and tension rod bushings

Went with the Turner Motorsports solid engine, trans and subframe bushings. By solid I mean just a piece of aluminum with threads on it lol. It is 150% louder inside the car and sounds like I'm in Optimus Prime's a$$hole while he has diarrhea. Anyone afraid of more NVH inside the cabin please don't do this lol. You hear and feel EVERYTHING the engine and DCT are doing. When you redline the engine you can hear the whine of the DCT as if it were a stripped out race car. It's an absolutely different driving experience and not for everyone. Personally I love it. Can't say much about the Rogue Engineering tension arm bushings as I haven't had a chance to really 'drive' the car. A few pics of the bushings up front.

Any possibility of some audio recordings? I am sincerely wanting to do this to properly accommodate a CAE shifter

Is this a street-driven car or track only?

I've just ordered a set of solid aluminium subframe bushings a Delrin diff bushings (but not engine mounts) after positive comments on other threads.

My car is a 6-MT and is mainly street-driven with a few track days. I am prepared for a small amount of additional NVH but not too noticeable.

Should I be re-considering my decision?

Any advice appreciated.

75% of the added noise is coming from the solid trans mounts for sure. 25% from the engine mounts. The solid subframe mounts make absolutely no extra noise. The only extra noise your going to get is from the diff mounts and that won't be much.

this is correct; I want to do solid engine/trans to get the most out of an AKG shifter but the car is my daily and I'm hesitant I may regret it

Makes no sense on a street car, must be a plan for track only in the future. I debated with my e46 and went with GC poly for engine and trans and solid rear. Car is already pretty loud inside with bw race, don't really want any more. Glad I didn't after hearing this. Cool to sound like a race car I guess but should actually be one, kinda like aero on a street car.

Every one of my cars has had solid or poly bushings and I've always enjoyed the upgrades on both the street and track. This is no different. Like I said it definitely isn't for everyone lol.

For sure! Crazy. Put a race seat in and women may get off from the nvh.

Serious over-kill for a street only car. Not sure why you went this route, but so long as you're happy.

Solid aluminum engine mounts are not recommended on the E9x M3 without weld-in sub-frame reinforcement of the front carrier. Under high load shifts, the aluminum bushing may actually tear out from the aluminum sub-frame.

What about Poly engine mounts with solid trans mounts? Can find ANYONE who makes stand-alone poly or solid 6MT mounts...hint hint hint

Already working on it, as there seems to be a lot of interest in just the transmission mounts.

I do not recommend having stock engine mounts with solid transmission mounts. At the very least a Delrin engine mount is necessary to do solid transmission mounts.

I have the Vorschlag Engine Mounts already. Please keep me in mind when the trans mounts are ready

Vorshlag offers a polyurethane engine mount.

We've offered these to a few M3s that see mostly track use, but the stock mounts are usually more than sufficient - especially on the street. We've got some solid trans mounts being cut at the moment for our track build (6MT), which is needed for the chassis mount shifter going in place.

Poly trans mounts are not far behind for the street.
