IND Delivery | ESS VT2-625

So after calling around and reading m3post forever and a day, I finally decided to bite the bullet and get some more goodies for my e92 M3.

I knew that forced induction was in my future but didn't know which kit to go with.

Decision Process:

Called AA down in Miami, FL: Overall great folks to talk to and would love to run their kit as the high boost, meth, and look of the manifold made it appealing. Unfortunately there's no way in hell that I'd consider a self-install especially after Rob@AA quoted 20-30 hours of installation.

Called Adam@GMP in Charlotte, NC for an installation on an ESS kit as I'll be in the area next month. Unfortunately I arrive on a Thursday, leave on a Sunday, and they're not open on the weekends. I'm sure they would have done a great installation but didn't really feel like hanging out in Charlotte for a few extra days.

Called Kenny@Velos and can't afford to take a week off of work to hang out in Miami for an installation. This aspect almost crushed my S/C aspirations so next up was Omar@ESS.

Called Omar@ESS for a quote on a kit for a self installation. Omar gave me the confidence that I could install a VT2 kit myself and thought this was a sure bet but wanted to try out another option.

To finish the loop, I figured I'd call Ilia@IND in Chicago to see what they had to offer. The quote was highly competitive and asked about the round trip shipping they offer for out-of-state vehicles. The quote was MUCH less than I anticipated and knew this was the way to go. Since I basically decided on IND at this point, I have to get my money's worth for shipping costs right?

And... here comes the impulse part of my purchase. I decided to get a custom "blue themed" paint job for the manifold and wanted something to match it with. Hence custom painted 380mm Brembos. It's fitting since I bought the M3 while getting an oil change on my old 535i. A free service turned into a bank crushing episode

Overall, I still haven't registered the hit on my bank account but know I will be happy with the new power and BBK look.

The thing that sealed the deal was that Ilia is certain that they can pick up my vehicle from Georgia and have it back before I return from Afghanistan next month.

Hopefully the VT2-625 kit cancels out the high center gravity weight of my sunroof

I can't recall a single thread where someone was let down by iND hence why I am putting tons of faith into them.

Luckily the folks there seem pretty creative with custom paint and can't wait to see how it turns out. iND, feel free to update this thread with in-progress pics!

Good choice. The guys at IND are first class all the way. Also have had work done by GMP performance in Charlotte and they do great work.
