F10 M5 shift knob vs ZHP knob

today i was at the dealer and i was checking the new M5 that they have in the show room. i noticed that its shift knob is very similar to the zhp knob, so i was thinking can this be a suitable replacement for my stock unweighted knob. can anyone comment on the differences? is it weighted? would the purchase of the m5 knob save me from having to mod a zhp?

No different that what we do to ours really unless having a one piece bothers you somehow.

i am looking at from a cost perspective, the all in one design is going to cost more then a stand alone modded zhp. i'm just being cheap

Cost? If that's the case, you shouldn't even be considering it since there's almost no way you could get this part for cheaper than a modded ZHP from eBay.

i would rather pay the 100$ for the oem knob versus modified, if its all in one it will probably be 200+
