Welcome to the Aussie Forum!

1. Very good feedback on evolve, but I don't have anyone in Aus has it.
3. Looks great, but it is really expensive for an intake!

Will post pictures soon. Wanting to get tints and wheels done first!

Picked her up in April, only waited 10 weeks for delivery which seems short compared to some.

Car history:
- ek v-tec civic
- golf mk4 gti
- Nissan 350z
- Audi TT stronic
- BMW 1M

I'd driven a few cars before deciding on the 1m incl m3, rs5 and ttrs.

Will hopefully have the mods done by end of next month. Has anyone had any work done by city performance centre? It's who evolve tech recommends.

I'm only new to this forum too, however, I don't have a 1 Series but quite a few people I know are running Evolve Automotive tunes on their M5's and they have an excellent reputation. They also do many tunes for 1 series cars including the 1M so might be worth a look plus they also do exhausts - plenty of videos for the sound too. Link http://www.evolveautomotive.com/m-power_45/1m_1032/

They also have a Facebook page.

Cheers
Stu

Welcome to the Oz forum mate..

A few of the 1M's are running Cobb tune with great results..
Contact Peter at Advan Performance Auburn if interested.

As far as exhaust systems go, there is a mixed bag of systems on the 1M's in Sydney.

I have N55 mid pipes/ Meisterschaft connecting pipe, through to the Eisenmann axle back.

Ian had Maddad mids with Remus axle back..

Another 1M in Sydney has the Eisenmann mid pipes with Meisterschaft axle back..

Another two 1M's in Sydney have the full Akropovic Evolution exhausts.

So there is a few to look at if interested and cant make up your mind.

Welcome bmw1MC!

I'm yet to take delivery of my 1M, but have a few mods planned. I'm def going with Evolve tune & exhaust, with N55 mid pipes. I'll probably do FMIC and downpipes, bit later.

I don't take big risks with aftermarket mods, and don't believe in products delivering masses of Kw/NM. I prefer something well engineered and proven.

Evolve do have a great rep with M3 & M5 crew, and their name seems to have spread by WoM. I was in UK earlier this month and took sometime out to check out the Evolve guys. I was impressed by their engineering, and just about every product the developed/tuned is tried and tested on their own fleet of cars - M3 (e46, e92), M5 (e39, e60, f10 :-o ), and Mini R56cs JCW (close to 200kw). The only exception to that is the 1M, but they were one of the first to come out with the N54 tune and worked with one of their customers (CliveD) to develop the tune & exhaust. + exhausts are made by supersprint ;-)

Apologies for the rant, but I thought I'd share my research.

Can't comment on the evolve stuff, can say I am happy with the ESS product. Easy to download and upload, supported by one of the best in Aus, SouthernBM in MELB. Sparoz is also running it, cant comment on his opinion re the product but i haven't heard too many negs across the whole forum. We have the Full Akra (minus DPs) and love it. To some, many, it is just too expensive and I would tend to agree but in saying that I would buy another (I love titanium and carbon fiber) as it sounds better than anything else I have heard.

Thanks everyone for feedback. I'm pretty happy with what the guys from
Evolve have proposed for the car so i will go for that setup. I like the idea of going through the one place to do everything. Makes things easier for me.

Oh mrblonde - would never go for cheap wheels! Looking to get a set adv.1s eventually. For now I'll paint the standard ones gloss black.

I have had a few Evolve tuned cars through our shop sorry to say they did not live up to all the hype, the power numbers fell way short of the Procede and COBB. You should reconsider with regards the tune.

I have forgotten about that thread by Nate. It's an awesome thread. The Akra certainly looks and sounds the part and SouthernBM has done a good job for John with no fitment issue. I'm looking forward to hearing Joe's and your setups. It's great how you guys have taken different directions.
