08 E92 emissions Code on Cold Start Up
This has got me scratching my head.
I start my car on cold mornings (<35 degrees), try backing out of my driveway, get a CEL saying DSC is de-actived and something is wrong with my emissions. I know there could be a million codes causing an emissions CEL and since my car is under warranty, I just took it to the dealer. Also, if I turn the car off and restart it, the code will never come back on (sometimes true). Long story short, BMW replaced some sensors, engine wiring harness, and we still have a problem. The dealer has since had BMW read all the information about my car and they are replacing the engine module. Anyone else have this type of problem? BMW will take care of me since my car is under warranty and are treating me nicely and all, but I figured I would ask you all.

I suggest a full reprogram of the car before replacing parts.

If I haven't driven the car for a few days and its cold that sometimes pops up. Along with a warning about the braking system. A simple re-start and it clears itself. I've had the car scanned and they wrote it off as a glitch... Its only happened to me 3 or 4 times
* I'll also add that was while the car had the stock exhaust system, with out the cats (Not tuned) I haven't seen it since. Not sure if that makes a difference or not lol

This should not happen.. Period. Something is not right. I have never had my car do anything like this. It sounds like the software needs an update, or if there was a tuned file in there when this occurred, it might be causing these issues to surface depending on what was modified.
