Throttle valve actuator
Has anyone had issues with their throttle valve actuator? My new car (which i haven't even picked up yet lol) has got problems and BMW have confirmed they need to replace both actuators.
Fortunately i'm not paying for a thing.....but it has still kinda put me off buying a car with issues. I've spoken to Sal@Evolve from this forum, and he's advised me its a common problem, and once it's replaced and fixed there shouldn't be any issues in the future. The car has 50k miles, with full BMW service history. If i do buy this car, I will most certainly be getting fully comp BMW warranty for piece of mind. |

Yes its a pretty common issue. although before purchasing i would check all records from BMW from 0-current miles you never know....

there was nothing wrong with my 08, i just took the financially unsound decision of selling it and buying a new one. after they changed the TVA, it worked flawlessly. i would not worry about it
