235/40/18 Fronts AND REARS?

I'm looking into buying a set of winter tires but have come across a seller selling a combo consisting of '270M' and 235/40/18 FRONT AND REAR Michelin PS3's.

Says he ran them on his ///M last winter, is this set-up possible? He got em directly from BMW over here in Calgary. No idea about offsets or widths but they are OEM so whatever those specs are should be correct for these. They are the silver finish as opposed to space gray if that changes anything.

Thanks guys

If they are 4 front M3 wheels that are only 8.5 inches wide, they will work. Many people run a square set up for winter. I think Tire Rack sells some 8.0s with 225 or 235 width tires as a package. Not sure what wheels they are, but if the offset is correct, they should work and if the other person ran them, then presumably they work.

It's 100% possible. The dealer-option winter package used 235/40R18 all around. I sell that sizing for winter packages pretty regularly with no issues. It will look noticeably smaller on the back, but works with no problem.

I'm hoping you mean PA3, not PS3, because the PS3 would be a nightmare in the snow.

Do you think it would be okay to run spacers in the back or would that just defeat the whole argument of getting this square set-up?

Yes I meant PA3! They are Michelin Alpine PA3's, looking back and fourth I'm not sure if I should in fact pick this set up or just stick 235/255 Blizzak LM-60's (or are there any newer Blizzaks out?) on my ZCP wheels. What would you recommend. To get the package would cost twice as much as just getting the Blizzaks alone.. Bear in mind I live in Calgary, one of the worst places, if not THE WORST place in NA for winter.

Decisions, decisions
