Maybe Going Back To 18...
ok after driving a loaner for 1 week. it felt so freakin nice and comfy now im thinking of going back 18... but my question is...
my wheel set up on the 18 will be 18x9.5 +22 18x11 + 33 i know i will be running 265 and 305 rears but my question is would you recommend 40 and 35 size on the tires.

That sounds about right, although the stock 18's use a 40 sidewall all around

265/35, 305/30 would be good setup. (even though I think 305 rear seems too much, I would go with 285/35 or 295/35 on the back to keep the front and rear balance).

An 18" setup is great. I personally run 9.5" +22 wheels in the front with 265/35 tires and 10.5" +20 wheels in the rear with 285/35 tires (previously I ran 295/35 in the rear).
The overall diameters of this set up is within 3% of the stock setup diameters both front and rear. You'll definitely want to do 35 series (30 with 305 or bigger) profile given your width. 40 will be too big. Last edited by sawzall; 09-16-2011 at 05:03 PM.. |

as many have already mentioned, i think 265/35/18 and 285/35/18 is a good choice. if you plan on tracking your car and staying NA, i think a 305/30/18 may be a little overkill.

If going with 18" try to stay between 9-9.5" front and 10.0-10.5". Anything above will actually hinder performance due to increase weight, load and contact patch.
