2011 BMW Car Club of BC Concours - 78 Pictures
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com Sunday was the BMW Car Club of British Columbia's Concours. As usual I had the GoPro HD 960 running when I drove there, so I made a short video showing you the drive through Vancouver, Canada. I start out in Vancouver, over the Georgia Viaduct next to Rogers Arena / BC Place, through Downtown Vancouver, through Stanley Park, over the Lion's Gate Bridge, then North Vancouver, finally the Waterfront Park location with a view of Downtown Vancouver, where the Concours was held. Now, pictures. I got a new lens, the Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM. To take these pictures, it's paired with a Canon EOS 50D camera body, and usually with the 77mm B+W Circular Polarizer. Overall view of the location. First, a few pictures of my car. I was parked with a couple of E36 M3s, one Dakar Yellow and one Estoril Blue (1 of 3 on the field), and a Z3 Roadster. BMW Motorsport LTW wheels for the E36 M3, highly sought-after in that community. E46 330i Cabrio. Highly-tuned S38 with over 400whp, which is... ...in the E28 M5 as shown in the middle. The classics gallery with a big-brother E39 M5. MMMMM. Seats 5. This E24 M6 was so shiny that my camera couldn't auto-focus on the panels, because it couldn't find any contrasting lines. It won 1st place in its class, of course. 1602 + 2002. The 3 Estoril Blue E36 M3 owners talking about... what else? The timeless shape of a PROPER BMW 4-door sedan, the E39 5er. Sapphire Black Metallic on Saddle Brown Leather E93 335i, with CF interior trim wrap. CLEAN E30 M3. ESS VT1-445 Supercharged E85 Z4M Roadster. The owner did self-install over the course of a bit over a week, then "broke it in" on a 1000km road trip with the club a couple of weekends ago! E34 5er. E46 Touring, we only have the 325xiT up here. Valencia Orange 1M Coupe. Alpine White 135i, Mineral White X1, VO 1M. The N20 inline-4 twin-scroll turbo engine that will replace / is already replacing the classic NA straight-6 engines, as seen in the X1 xDrive 28i. More pictures of the Mineral White X1, with AC Schnitzer wheels and suspension installed, with the AW 135i and the VO 1M. MW Design's former project car, the E89 Z4. Imola Red E46 M3 Cabrio. Titanium Silver E46 M3 with its owner. Nicely done E36 M3 Cabrio. E46 M3 Cabrio with boom-box stereo and loud exhaust. LCI E92 335i with the GORGEOUS 19in BMW Performance Style 269 Wheels. E61 5er Touring. Techno Violet BMW E36 M3 Individual. E46 M3 ZCP / Competition Package. E46 M3 ZCP SMG3 interior with Dove Grey leather and Silver Aluminum Cube trim, vs..... ...my E90 M3 M-DCT interior with black Speed Cloth and Carbon Leather trim. A pair of E36 M3s. E31 8er, with matching center-caps, roundel, and... t-shirt! E36 3er Cabrio. Silver Grey E46 330i ZHP / M Performance Edition. I had one of those, a black on black on black cube trim 4-door sedan.... Great car. 3.0CS, with an E24 6er. Z3 Roadster with the Z4M Roadster. The 3.0CS in the classics gallery. (M)3, (Z)4(M), (E34)5, (E39)5, (E24 M)6. |

Cool pics but your comment about how the car was so shiny your camera couldnt autofocus makes no sense at all unless you were shooting huge flat piece of painted sheet metal with no reflections whatsoever. So you couldn't focus on the trim, the wheels, or anything else within the plane of focus of the car (which could literally be anything around the car)
Sorry.. just a silly statement! |

As you can see in the photos I took of that car, the pictures were obviously in focus, so I must have found a spot that the camera liked. I seems to have missed posting the picture I took of the Z4M's interior, so here you go. According to the owner, the boost gauge will be professionally boxed-into the top side of the dash / A-pillar shortly. |
