I found the best way to experience the differences in EDC or power settings is to use each one for weeks or months then change. Over the past year 22K miles I did that and I can tell blindfolded (metaphorically) which setting the car is in. So the quick shifting between settings doesn't actually help much, it may confuse too.

This topic has already been described in about 3-5 times this year. "Power" settings: Normal - the throttle responds slowly to push the acceleration pedal this setting. Sport - faster, Sport Plus - the fastest. Possible that this is the same as the EDC softness - Normal and Sport - felt little.

Unchanged means that the M button will not change the setting away from the current setting.

Sport + is out of control...I find it way too sensitive. On the other hand normal is way too insensitive and makes the pedal throw to long for my tastes. Sport is how I roll.

Easy way to test the difference is to drive off with light throttle in 1st gear, then change the power from Normal -> Sport. You should instantly feel a difference as the throttle gets remapped to the Sport setting.

Unchanged just tells IDrive to move on to the next setting on the screen without changing anything for the currently selected one. |

Normal is very good when you have passengers who wouldn't enjoy the sporty nature of this car (moms, some wives, etc)

I love sport+ when I'm driving alone. Makes the car so much fun especially when rev-matching. When driving the kid/family around I'm in normal. I use sport for autox/track since it's much easier to modulate than sport+.

I cannot drive on Sport+, way way too jerky, I can't imagine using it on the track either especially if you have DCT. You'll want more smooth throttle inputs. I'm going to use just Sport on mine at the track for easlier blips...
