Cool Photo Comparison: C63 AMG Facelift vs. E90 M3 LCI

BIMMERPOST NEWS
Updated: C63 AMG Facelift vs. E90 M3

COMMENTS

UPDATE: Mercedes released official information on the C63 AMG today. It turns out that the leaked pictures were inaccurate as the already famous fangs on the hood actually were retained for the Facelift. So we've added several new pictures to reflect this. Also, there's now an optional AMG Performance package which includes several parts from the SLS AMG (forged pistons, connecting rods and crankshaft). This makes for an increased output of 487 hp and allows a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 4.4 seconds.

Intentionally or not, photos of the C63 AMG Facelift have leaked onto the internet. Any updates and releases to BMW’s competitors invariably leads us to want to compare of course - in this case the E90 M3 LCI vs facelifted C63 AMG.

Unlike the CLS 63 AMG, the C63 AMG is still powered by the naturally aspirated 6.2 l V8, rated at 451hp and 443 lb-ft in the C63. Most significant changes are the switch from the traditional 7-speed auto to the AMG-MCT7 and the introduction of a Start/Stop feature. It’s uncertain however if the latter will make it to the US.

Better be fast if you consider the E90 M3 to come out of this comparison on top: Production of the 4-door M3 will end later this year and will likely not be produced in the next generation of M3.

I think M3 looked better in just about all pics. But when it comes regular cars I think the C has the edge. The E90 is very sensitive to wheel size and offset where the C just almost always looks sleek and aggressive.

in my opinion
1.front-M
2.rear-C
3.side-C
4.interior-M (miss the flip screen in the C)
5.engine bay- i love them both

*Edit* i just saw some more interior photos of the new face lift C-class and maybe i wont miss the flip at all (especially the coupe).

M3 LCI does not look that different. Many M3's sitting on dealer's lots in the US.

Getting rid of the ridiculous pop up nav screen is a huge upgrade. That was one of the biggest things that killed it for me with the C63. It looked cheap and gimmicky.

I'd hate to ask on here...I've asked bimmerpost, a few pms to others and no response. Can someone tell me how to start a thread? I'm very sorry for this stupid question.

wow! The facelifted c63 looks incredible compared to the previous model. I still like the exterior of the e90 m3 over the c63 but new interior looks fantastic. Its hard to go wrong with either car now.
