Challenging Road in Corfu
Ok I might be a little over-enthusiastic here, I come from a rather flat part of the world, the UK.
Took the Z4 on holiday to Corfu (Greek Island) last fortnight and found the roads there great. A good opportunity to try my toy for the first time - it mounts a camera on the window. So here is my favourite road in Corfu. YouTube Clip I have sped (speeded?) up the footage to make viewing bearable. The sound was pretty awful anyway, mostly wind. Not claiming to be a fast driver, I'm not that great - you may notice a corner 'fail' on one occasion. And yes I have seen the Stelvio Pass, drove it within a week of ownership Older Thread BMW themselves proved to be a pain on this trip, that's another story for another thread. Hope you enjoy. While the road has some very nice turns & scenery, it bares the typical awful asphalt quality that the majority of roads -islands & mountains- in Greece have... pity.
But glad you enjoyed it! How long was to drive from the UK to Corfu? |

I work in a certain country above Thessaloniki at the moment...
Due to the rather excellent E90/A2 (love those tunnels!) I got to Igoumenitsa in less than 5 hours. Those who think these roads are poor should come and try where I live these days. This was luxury for my poor Z4 |

For those of us who can't quite get to Europe to do some twisty's there are a couple of roads I've been on lately that peaked my interest. (I did do a road on the west side of Majorca a few years ago, it was insane !!! In a rented Polo )
The road coming into Taos,NM from the East side (Raton, Trinidad area) is scenic and has some great stretches of curves, watch out for tourist traffic in the park sections.. There is also a short 20 mile road (Hiway 20) from I-15 heading East to 89 in southern Utah. Its a great little break from interstate driving if you're going that way.
