shift knob question...

Hi folks,

I asked my dealer to replace my shift knob because the glue (or whatever) underneath the shift pattern was discoloring. They did, but when I got it back, something doesn't feel right.

I could've sworn the knob and the boot were two distinct sections, like there was a seam or some stitching or something where the knob ended and the boot started, even if the entire assembly is one piece (where the arrow is in the pic). But all the pictures I can find show it's all one smooth interrupted piece. Am I crazy?

The zhp knob has a much better feel and shortens the throw quite a bit. You will have to cut the boot but it is worth it.

shift knob and boot are one piece. if you want to use another knob, you will have to cut the shift boot and knob to separate them... or you can just make another custom shift boot.
