New Headlamp?

So I somehow screwed up my passenger headlamp while installing RD LED H8 bulbs....

my adaptive system is out, my main lamp is out, and there is fog and condensation inside the light assembly.

my guess is that i'll have to replace most of the internals or even the whole assembly. does anyone have any ideas about cost? I checked RealOEM, but it wasnt very helpful.

Also, any other ideas?

When my Z4 had a parking lot encounter, the parts price was about $800.00 for the unit plus $200 for the bulb. And it's apparently easy to screw up the assembly, so I't take it to the dealer or a top notch body shop if I were you.

Sorry to hear about your dilema. I can empathize. I have also thought about upgrading the halo to a more 'pure white' look. However, I have chosen to stay away from touching these lights for just such a reason as you cited. Last month mine was in the shop to replace the complete left side assembly. This was a warrenty replacement as the left side adaptive feature failed after ~5000 miles. From what I have read on here, it sounds like these lights are complicated and fragile assemblies....no place for my clumbsy mits. lol.

The headlight assemblies are not take-apartable. They are about $1,200 each side. You might have some luck on this site buying used ones from owners who have changed over to Euro assemblies. Otherwise, look for someone to clip you with a bumper in a parking lot - or something.... A Ford 350 is about the right height.
