Both Griots and meguiars gold class get good reviews and are priced okay. I'm not a fan of any armor all products to be honest. I'll be using a gilmour foam gun or utilizing the 2 bucket method with grit guard inserts.
John, are you using a gilmour foam gun or a foam cannon with a pressure wash machine of some sort?

Its the foam gun, no pressure washer. Attaches to the garden hose. Works great!! |

What wax are you using? My theory is to get a good wax and use that same manufactures car wash. Any of the good quality companies claim their wash will not remove wax. You would think they would make sure their wash works great with their own wax.

Basicly I have two sheepskin mits and a large bucked with a dirt guard. I'll rinse the whole car, then use the foam gun and soak it really good, then go over the car with the wash mits, I'll still sometimes rinse them in the bucket, but usually my car is not to dirty so just a fast pass with the wash mits and then a rinse. I do not wash the car in direct sunlight, its either partially in the garage or its early in the morning. The surface of the paint needs to be cool to use the foam gun. I have not had any water spot issues..my water is also hard water. |

I use Zaino sealant. The meguiars car wash is a great bargain if you buy it at wal mart. It will not harm your current wax/sealant. Any good band name car wash will do a good job. I have found the meguirars works well with my foam gun. After I wash and dry, I ALWAYS go over the car with a quik detailer. I use the Zaino Z-6. This stuff is amazing with the Zaino sealant I use. Its streak free and optically enhances the finish. It also reduces static. |
