How to sound good?

Hi all, currently have a stock f80 with only a active autowerke single non res midpipe. Valves closed you can’t even tell a difference and valves open I really gotta step on it to get real noise. What should I do to be less tame and get a more open sounding exhaust? Catless DPs? Don’t plan on doing crankhub yet because of the price and just want sound and cosmetic for time being.

Cut the muffler off with a hacksaw.

I have catless DP + MAD non-res midpipe + stock muffler. Sounds really clean imo, I can link clips if you want. Volume is really good too.

I’ve got a full AA setup consisting of the AA single non-resonated mid + AS three-can muffler. It’s pretty loud but nowhere near obnoxiously loud. 24k miles and still looks almost as good as day 1.

You can add exhaust tips or install a performance exhaust system. Check my F82 M4 with upgraded system from BP:

Do you have a tune? If so I suggest our new resonated Downpipes.

Downpipes. Go with MAD. Affordable and great fitment. Tune with BM3. There’s option to keep valves fully open.
