AA Equal Length Midpipe (resonated vs non resonated)

Hey everyone, I recently ordered the EL midpipe after holding off for so long. I tried watching videos of the setup id run but as always its just a bunch of stupid burbles. I do have a ZCP however I coded them off. But back to the subject. I will not be catless and I plan to keep the stock rear. Is non resonated really that loud? or should I be okay with it? might buy both pipes and do an in depth comparison without all the popping and downpipes.

from what I see online, it would be that loud if you keep your factory downpipes.

A lot of the volume comes in when you remove your factory downpipes and change them to catless.

The nicest setup that I have heard so far is ARM Resonated Downpipes + Resonated EL Midpipe and Factory Back Box.

There are 4 resonators involved which keep the volume on abit of a low and help it maintain a smooth EL sound

I just swapped from dinan x pipe to AA EL non res. I also have the dinan muffler and stock DPs. Its noticeably louder than the dinan. I think it has to do with the removal of the secondary cats.

Its a little obnoxious for me... It has more of that straight pipe sound when flaps are open. I think i prefer the sound volume of the dinan compared to the AA but i like the exhaust flow sound of the AA, just wish it was slightly lower in volume. Maybe the sound volume is the same and the higher pitch exhaust frequencies from the AA EL pierces the eardrums more than dinan... I dunno...

I also have a E36 M3 with AA trackpipe(no cats) and its quieter than the F80 with AA EL.

Ive got AA EL and resonated on everything else stock. I leave the valves open and actually like it quite a bit.

AA EL Mid Pipe Res

Hi,
how much difference did this make to the sound from within the cabin, and would you say the sound would be deeper than a non-resonated pipe

I run stock DP, EL Non-res and Remus rear. Honestly it's not all that loud esp if you remove the burbles. It is very daily-able. I've ran catless, AA single mid with remus rear and that was pretty loud. Would've loved to keep that setup if it weren't for nyc inspections.
