The s65 footage shown wasn't from an official GM video but clearly just savagegeese overlaying footage from their review of the OG M3 for effect.

Good catch. Although I am sure behind the scenes GM looked at the S65 as somewhat of an inspiration or benchmark of sorts because it is one of the best production N/A V8's made and quite unique especially for its time.

It makes me appreciate the S65 but at the same time realize how damn good this new 5.5 in the Z06 is. A lot of credit is due to GM, this motor strikes a perfect balance between revs and torque. 460 ft lbs and 8600 revs. I would love to drive it one day. I just can't get over the styling of the car though personally..
