picked up 08 Melbourne Red E90 M3 sedan last night!

After thinking about it for weeks I finally dumped my 335 and picked up an 08 E90 M3. It is Melbourne Red with black leather and carbon leather trim. Options: 6MT, Prem Pkg, Cold Pkg, Tech Pkg, 19s, Enhanced Prem Sound, iPod, Sirius. I never would have thought I'd get a red car, but after I saw this car on the lot I just couldn't resist. I went back to the dealer at least 10 times to look at the car in direct sunlight, at dusk, at night, ... just to make sure I liked the color and it is just awesome.

The 335 was an ok car, but the M3 is just incredible. Everything about the car just feels/looks special and the driving experience and all around practicality just can't be beat. Now to just get through break-in...

Congratulations.

I almost got rid off of the 335i a week ago. There was a pre-owned White M3 Sedan with a $69,000 sticker for $58,000, only 1,400 miles.

Unfortunately, what I was offered for the 335i was just $26k, because it's a manual transmission, a 2007 car with just 16,000 miles and every option ($47.5k sticker). So I refused to give it away for that low.

I tested the M5, and the SMG3 is just way behind the DCT, it's too slow (although faster than a manual trans).

You made the right choice with the transmission. The car is lighter with the manual. My Coupe DCT weighed 3,615 with full gas and DCT on electronic scales.

The H&R springs are cheap, and a must do upgrade, the stock springs (I don't know the rates) are way too soft.

For the price, there is no better daily driver, HD Radio, Sirius, ipod, usb, Nav, M button, adjustable steering assist, three ECU maps, three suspension settings, Stability Control with turn-off option, great space, good exterior size, beautiful look, and the engine, this is an exotic engine.

Thanks all. Just finished about 200 miles of canyons and PCH. This motor is awsome even in the 3-4k rpm range. Can't for 8k!

Yeah I have no plans to add any mods at this point except for painted front reflectors. I've got my E36 track car to tinker with.

The H&R springs are...... engine.
Where in LA did you go for electronic scales? I want to find the weight of my e92 with the only option EDC.
