How not to preload the front saw bar End links

Should the front suspension be at rest on the ground before you torque the sway bar? It seems like people make a big fuss about torquing the rear on the ground but not the front.

What about the part where the end link bolts to the strut. Does the suspension need to be at rest for this to be torqued correctly. I think the answer is yes as well but I can’t help being anal

The the suspension does not need to be preloaded to torque down the sway bar links up front.

Oh are you taking about the stock links or adjustable end links?

Is you have stock suspension it doesn't matter. If you have adjustable height suspension (HAS or C/O's) then it's possible for the bar to be preloaded If the left and right side are not set to exactly the same ride height. If the left/right ride heights are the same there's no issue.

If you need to set different ride heights to corner balance the car, you can get adjustable links to account for the slight height difference and keep the bar unloaded.
