I think the euro license plat makes it worse. I removed for a cleaner view. Still fugly, but slightly less imho

Really hoping they change this for the M cars. This is genuinely awful. It could be the best driving M car yet, but c'mon I don't want a car that I can't stand to look at.

Seems like an aftermarket grill that has the kidneys up top, body colored section in the middle and matching lower grills on the bottom would fix it pretty easily. If the X3M can run 10's on JB....

I'm calling it now that aftermarket companies are going to come up with cf bumpers that come with normal sized grilles and follow the bumper through with a center line to divide upper and lower grilles, with traditional M car air intakes.

I really like what they came up with for the current gen, with the integrated lip and less busy front corners. Solves the problem I have with the stock bumper not having a bottom edge at the corners, instead folding upwards right before to form another duct/fin/whatever it is. Looks like origami. Same story with the rear corners.
