Thank you, next!
So my M3 CS lease is up in less than a year. Love the car, it's been great, but ready for something different. Hoping you guys could help me decide Below is what I'm debating.
1. LCI M5. Drove the F90 and love it. Best daily for the money, new and under warranty. However, it's large and to me not as much of a wow factor as other cars in my list. 2. 991.2 GT3. LOVE this car. I'd get Miami Blue with yellow Carbon Ceramics. Total wow factor. The drawback is this will be the "older" model when I get it with the 992 about to be released. 3. 992 911 C2S. Super cool daily 911. With a tune over 500hp. Negative is it did not give me the "wow" factor connected to the road race car feel when I test drove it. 4. 2017+ Huracan 580-2. Hands down WOW. I would choose this my dream car in a heart beat. BUT issues is, visibility sucks for a daily, no warranty (biggest concern), and maintenance is about $2500 every 10k miles. Being my daily this is frightening. But having people hang out the window on the highway taking pics of your car is pretty dang cool (happened on my test drive) Sooo. I've been stresssssed out making this decision even tho I have about 8 months to make the decision. What are your thoughts? What would you pick? My ceiling is 150k btw. |

991.2 GT3, no question. Even with the 992 model coming out.

Well, you could hope that they speed up the rumored M5 CS. I'm #1 on the list, but the new X5M is calling my name too!
What about the M8 Grand Coupe?

I would take a 991 GT3 over any of these cars, let alone a 991.2. I think the drivability and reliability from Porsche is the deciding factor. Also they don't depreciate as much

Your list will generally skew the answers towards the GT3, even if it's an "old" 991. Would be good to know how you plan to use it.
But value for money is a different topic. With that in context, you may consider the new 718 GT4/Spyder and even the GTS which has the same engine (slightly detuned). Driving wise I think you'll love them and later on you can get a tune. The only consistent (minor) complain is the long gearing. Since you have a CS, which I believe don't come in manual, you might as well wait for the PDK which may improve things on that front. You'll easily save 50k vis a vis the Porsche options on your list. |

Only problem is he does he F90 in his original post. But I agree... that's a total outlier compared to the rest of the list!

It sounds like an important factor in your car decision is what others think of it, so clearly get the Lambo!

Hmmm.. A huracán for a daily? Umm NO! Your one of the few I've heard say they do not like the looks of an M8. That car is almost universally praised for its design and looks. And that twin turbo V8. Lord!! Check out this comp model I saw at dealer this week in frozen white. There was a crowd around it jizzing on themselves.
Since P cars are on your list I would be looking at the hi performance models Cayman. I'm currently in a M3CS and the M8 comp is is on my next short list. Unless of course the stock market continues to go into limp mode. Then it's the new Mustang Cobra GT 500 or GT350 for half the price. |

Shop for extended warranties or look for a more reasonable way to offset the huracan maintenance and just get one. If it’s your dream car and you have the means, make it happen. All the other cars are boring compared to the Huracan unless you track. I like tracking my F80 so from your list, id choose the GT3 but if it were my daily, id say f*ck it and get the car that would make my pee pee and ego look the biggest haha. #YOLO. But in all seriousness, if you want that fizz everyday, you know the choice. Look into extended warranty programs and go for it. Plus I’m sure you’ll sell it in a year or two for the next best thing
There is no such thing as a dream car anymore. We live in an era of newer better things that keep popping up thus new dreams to be made. Get the H, have fun (reasonably with an extended warranty) and then rinse, repeat with another car. |

When my F80 came out if warranty, I paid 6k for an extended warranty from easycare. You should look into that for any of your used cars. Even the P cars. Peace of mind is worth every penny. |

2500 a year for the huracan ??? damn. The 458 is pretty much the same thing (NA, 9000 rpm, dct, rwd, 570hp)… and it only costs me 1000 a year. I've owned mine for 3 years out of warranty and its been fine. I drive it 2000 miles a year.
The GT3 and huracan are both very nice rides. Just depends if you want attention and everyone gawking at you or not. And that V10 will be way more useable around town than the flat 6 in the gt3.
