BMW Navigation Map

I have North America EVO 2019-1 installed on our 2018 X5, which we installed about a month ago. How do roads closed due to road construction work on BMW maps? Is that relayed via the map updates or is it traffic related.

We drive from 75 south from downtown Detroit to Ohio and before the map update it showed 75 close, which it was until around Nov 2018, but then it opened and it still showed it closed. Waze, Apple Maps and google maps showed it correctly as opened.

So, then I upgraded our maps to Evo 2019-1 think that would fix it and yesterday it still showed that route at closed. Anyone know what the issue could be? Do I have to update to Evo 2019-2? Wife is frustrated.... . Thanks!

I think this might be RTTI service related? Do you pay for RTTI?

I think road closure is based on real-time traffic information... which requires 3G/4G signal from AT&T [in the US].

Thanks - we always have a good signal around that area, so not sure what the deal is. It definitely should not be happening though.

As mentioned, it may be good to log into your ConnectedDrive account and verify your ARTTI is active. Also, it may help if you set your Automatic Street Map Update set to the region of your choice. You mentioned Detroit and Ohio but they're in different regions.

Try 2019-2 which is out. Maps data isn't live like Google maps etc, but RTTI is. So if RTTI is showing road is closed (usually marked x and red) then it should reenable, but if maps has the road marked as closed, then you need to update to latest.

That is funny - when I login to mine I don;t have that. On the left mine goes from "News" to "Store" and gives me no "Map Update" or "ParkNow".

When I go into the store I get an error message too - although I have been there before when I bought it to set up my account and subscribe.

Might just be a glitch, but I never remember those being there before either.
