Feedback on carbon fiber reps from China (found on FB)

A local M enthusiast brought this guys work to my attention and I was curious if anyone on the forum has had any experience buying from him. His FB profile name is “West Yao” and he been in commo with me regarding his Vorsteiner styled front lip, PSM styled trunk spoiler, and some carbon flaps for the upper fascia flap.. I can post a link if it helps anyone. He’s shipping the items from Guangzhou, China via TNT. Any feedback on that carrier would be appreciated as well.

More or less any cheap carbon parts are:
- Not completely fiber, are just fiberglass with CF exterior
- Color wont match your roof
- Pattern wont match your roof
- Clearcoat will start to chip in 6 months
- Fitment will be shit and will look like it was cut to shape with an angle-grinder

You have an expensive car, don't put chinese fiber on it. Your profile says you are in germany - try https://www.cf-dynamics.de/ (I've never bought there, could in part just be crap from china too), or https://www.schmiedmann.com/en/bmw-f...ide-c6-catn-ol (based in denmark, i've bought here before for F10, felt very solid and the fit was good).

Another decent one is maxton-design in Poland, https://www.maxtondesign.eu/Seria-M4-c507

I see your point, however I feel like front lip spoilers take a beating. Well in my area of the autobahn with lots of construction I would f-up a front lip spoiler. It’s also fairly steep with awkward hills where I live too. So I would hate to buy a real Vorsteiner lip and damage it soon after installing it. But you’re right and maybe I’ll find a higher quality rep to hold me over until I move back to the states.

I know how the autobahn looks - Poland is even worse. I got the splitters only without the lip. Looks almost as good imho and It's high enough that I haven't hit a curb with them yet.

M-Perf also makes a plastic version of the carbon front lip, that might be able to take a bit more of a beating.

Yeah I bought some stuff from what seems to be his competitor, Jaks You (I think?). I had a good experience! CF splitter and a diffuser for like $350 shipped (from China).

My opinion on that stuff is from a distance, it all looks the same, so why spend a lot more money on it. ESPECIALLY the lip that you can replace like 5 times for the cost of a non-Chinese one. Lol
