Questions about the turbo ,any pretension system to reduce turbo lag?

I believe I've been read somewhere,the s55 engine has some technology, that can make the turbo spoons earlier,to reduce turbo lag.

I searched but it seems that I haven't found the right name of that.

Anyone has any information about that?

I dont really think there is much Turbo lag if any. Turbos are very small. I know there is anti-lag that keeps them spooled between shifts......maybe thats what you are referring to?

I also think there is no Turbo lag and than I drive my E46 m3 and than I really see what it means when there is no turbo lag.

In "Sport" and "Sport Plus" settings, the turbochargers are "pre-tensioned," which means that they keep spinning at a high rate of speed even after you have taken your foot off the throttle. This trick ensures ultra-quick response times fully comparable to those of a naturally aspirated engine. To bring engine revs down, cylinders are deactivated. The system doesn't work for extended time, but it operates under racetrack conditions and whenever the car senses quick bursts of acceleration and deceleration.
