I bed to differ...

Stage ONE pricing @ $795 (as described above) is now
less expensive than BM3! This includes Stock, Stage ONE,
and your choice of Features ONLY, ZCP, or CS power level
at no additional cost.

Noticed the drop in price on TCU software. Is this through OBD port as well?

I'm pretty new to this whole tuning thing. I'd love to have the burbles, etc. so it seems it would be captured in the "CS Features" selection. Why would anyone choose "CS Features only" over the ZCP or CS power levels if it's the same price? Would the ZCP or CS power level require hardware upgrades to the engine, etc.

Sorry again, I'm a n00b

I was pretty adamant on not tuning this car, but at this price it's worth a try if I can keep it stock other than the tune.

Yes, TCU is programmed through OBDII, but we log in remotely
as our HEX Flash Program does not currently allow for it.

We do not delete any emissions control functions with any of
our software levels.

That being said, the Features ONLY option employs the
GTS Start-Up Roar, which also reduces the idle speed
during cold start, making it noticeably quieter.

We've noticed that the popularity of the ZCP Power Level
option has almost completely disappeared since the release
of the CS Power Level option.

The Features ONLY and ZCP Power Level options were
popular in the past with those who had previously purchased
piggy-back devices but were still looking for a way to achieve
those "features" that were only possible through proper tuning.

IE: Throttle Overrun (burble), Increased Top Speed Limiter,
Modified Sport Gauge Values, etc...
(no hardware changes required)

I also beg to differ

BM3 $595 using laptop and $20 enet cable is less than $795 using laptop and included custom cable

But bm3 include TCU. They're also working on OBD unlock and should be out soon. Anyhow, the price is coming down so it's good for everyone hehe

You're missing the $100 "unlock fee", and/ or the labor
costs (or time/effort yourself) to remove and reinstall the
ECU, which is typically $300-350.

Your typical HEX Tuning customer is looking for what's
recognized as the most thoroughly developed, tested,
validated turn-key (set & forget) solution available.

That's the bar we've set for the F8X platform, AND we've
kept our promise to the consumer to lower the price once
we've reached the point of offering full OBDII Port Flashing.

Thanks for the quick reply! With that being said, does the "CS Power level" require any hardware changes since there is a relatively significant boost in power? Or is it ok to run on a relatively stock F80 (just exhaust)

Its just a matter of time at this point as they already have OBD only solution running on local cars.

VF doesn't care, they will bash on that fact until last second before BM3 releases their unlock then they will make up a new excuse....

Arguments for no reason. It's not out yet, so it's not cheaper. It may be cheaper when it's out. No one is doing any bashing but you kids. Mind boggling how many babies there are running around with these expensive cars. I haven't pulled a trigger on a tune yet, but you kids really steer people away from BM3 really. I'm waiting for the BM3 release to decide on a route to take, and I'm trying my best to keep an unbiased POV but holy crap people..

You can flash with MHD for $299, plus the cost of the map which may be free as people start sharing them on the forums.

That's exactly the route I just went on my f15 X5. My F80 is up next. Price is unbeatable and twisted tuning (who wrote the off the shelf maps) really know what they're doing as well.

Well sorry for just sayin there was a price drop. I for one spent a lot of times looking at different tunes and the respective shops, I think they all have pros/cons. Why I went with VF over others is my personal decision after doing my do diligence. They gave me the warm and fuzzies :-)
