CarShield warranty - anybody got one?

Searched this forum and found lots of threads about warranty programs, but nothing about CarShield. They seem to have a good program, but I find it odd that nothing was found here.

Anybody on here a customer of CarShield?

Only experience I had with them was while shopping for another warranty for my M3 last month. The person I ended up talking to was a "used car" type of guy and attempted to put the hard sale on - which ended up in no sale for him.

The one I was quoted was a powertrain warranty for $125 per month for up to 3 years, but I could never get them to send me anything about what specific parts were included under "powertrain."

I am just under 60k miles for reference.

$4500 for 3 years seems pretty expensive, especially for 'powertrain' only.

Agreed regarding the expense. What was even stranger was that it was pay as you go and could be cancelled anytime.

Totally agree on the sales technique. Wound up declining their offer of 5 years or 50k miles, "everything" covered for about $5300. They offered 18 and 21 month payment plans with an initial payment of $250.

I have 72,000 miles.

I'll probably just keep putting away $ every month into a repair fund if I need it.
