Rear Entertainment System...headsets & USB

does any know if the rear entertainment system comes with two wireless headsets or that's extra buy?
And can we connect memory stick via USB to play movies? Does it play all kind of formats (.mkv,...)?
And can the displays play two different programs or it is one stream?

Iphone won't playback mp4-only mp3-lacks video out ability
Willl show in additional media option once USB stick is plugged in.

Even iphone 4/4s won't play videos anymore due to the BMW sw not supporting it

Yes a USB will play all formats. Avi,MKV,Mp4.

Yes the displays can show different programs. But only one can be from the USB.
Or you can play 2 DVD's front and rear player to show different programs on the rear screens.

I can't play the front DVD to rear screens, only to the front iDive screen. If I want different movies on the rear screen the input is either from the DVD or USB (or RCA cables, but never tried this.)

I have wondered whether saving movie files direct to the hard drive (as you can with music) can be coded. If so, then this may be a way of easily getting different movies to the two screens.

Just got confirmation from Parts as well as the agent that two headsets will come with the rear entertainment system and I don't have to buy them.

I remember our old X5 having two inferred head sets. You should ask the coding guy if it needs to be coded for all those formats. I didn't order the entertainment system this time around but my guy coded the Video in Motion with all the video extensions on the new X5.
