Poll: Which Exterior for my 2016 M4? YMB or SS ?

After years of the dark side (two 911's) I'm coming back to the M...I've ruled out all other colors.

What would you do, if you had to chose a 2016 M4? And why? (if you have time).

I would say choose YMB, but that's only because I ordered SS and just didn't want to saturate the world with this awesome color...

I have YMB on SS leather & I would really base it upon what color combination you would like. YMB gets better every time I see it but SS is such a unique Silver and doesn't attract AS much attention.

If you lease I would get YMB, if you buy I would get SS. I can't look at blue for 5+ years but if I knew up front that I would only keep it for 3 years then it might be nice to get something fun like a flashy blue.

I had SS on order but canceled it for TZB. I love SS but if I were to order another car today it would be YMB.

I am going to do H&R springs, Dinan stage 2. The SS I'm looking at already has the MPE, but it doesn't have LED. At over 50 my night vision ain't what it used to be so I think the LED is a big deal.

The YMB I'm looking at has LED but no exhaust and is a bit less. I don't mind the blue - I like the SS but I see so many silver cars.

Interesting - thanks! I hear you. The blue is nearly as mean as the black I think. My last M3 was black and last 911 was black.. tired of black cars. Ruled out all other colors.

It's your call but I did a lot of thinking on this. After a few months I came to the conclusion that SS shows the long lines of the M4. I think the M3 would be better for YMB.

Wow you got a sweet Tanzanite Blue car, but would prefer YMB? Tanzanite is very striking. YMB always reminds me of these cabs I see all over Dallas:

No offense to those who ordered SS, but I personally find any silver extremely bland.

Reminds me of every mercedes, acura and civic on the road in 2004.

But thats just me, so I voted YMB

(I know that white is sooooo overplayed right now as well, and I drive a white car... dont bust my balls)

If you are the least bit introverted, go with SS. My vote was for YMB. It's a very dynamic color.

It's funny... out of all of the 'loud' colors, when the car first came out my preferences were YMB > AY > SO ... now, after the car being out for a year or so and seeing all of these cars in person, my preferences have completely shifted to SO > AY > YMB.

Not even because SO and AY have grown on me a lot, but more that I've been liking YMB less.

If my previous 335i was not Graphite Grey with Dakota Red interior, and my good friends new 435i was not MG, I would have gotten MG with SO interior. Beautiful combination. It might actually be my favourite combination all in all.

I love my color now but it's dark to where it's a pain to keep clean just like black! My last m3 was Mineral White which was a great color that stayed clean. It was a classy color just like TZB. I think since I've had two "classy" colors back to back I want something more "wild" like YMB. There's a YMB M3 in my area and seeing it on the road makes me smile.. I've always loved YMB since it was debuted.

I'd take a black 911 though!

Lol there's a Dodge Dart color that looks like YMB, too! I love my color but it stays clean for like 6 minutes YMB would be easier to maintain. Plus, I just love YMB for some weird reason.

I cannot love any color regularly seen on taxi cabs (YMB color is more prevalent on taxis vs. any commercial car, unlike white or black), or something that looks like Papa Smurf would drive. Atlantis Blue, Long Beach Blue, Mediterranean Blue... sure all day long!

SS looks classy. and already has MPE. YMB very unique and beautiful IMHO. Either way, with your planned mods, car will look and perform awsome. I say go with your instincts, you won't regret it no matter which choice you make.

haha well I agree Atlantis and LBB would be top choices for sure!
