Can BMWhat program default M mode on?

Now that the S65 is supported is this an available option to code so I do not have to press the bleeding button every time?

LOL never thought this would be a problem. I would assume you can get that coded in but you can at least set the car to start with the power button on. You can set that in M settings and push the idrive to the right.

Every problem in a first world country is a first world problem. I'd actually like to know the answer to this too

That's surprising given that Euro MDM isn't really any more difficult to code than anything else. Just two general options and then one more setting that varies by chassis.

OP, my gut says that defaulting M Drive to on would be a DME change, not a coding change.

You should be able to set any of the options as the default. You should also be able to access all of the options a la carte and not have to switch on M mode before being able to get to them.

i've scanned the thread in the coding section, but i still can really determine what i would do with this app. Anything worthwhile, other than the number of seconds my interior lights stay on after i turn off the key?

I'm saying that's how it should to be from the factory but it's not.

A few I like is have window continuing closing even after opening door (maybe local "safety" coding which is quite annoying), increase angle eye brightness, setting digital speedometer true speed (analoge meter possible as well). Have a few more currently but can't remember them now.

The only things "locked" to the M mode is MDM and sports plus throttle (useful on highway only).

I don't know about first world problems, but this seems a silly thing to do. Why do you want your car in balls-out mode the moment you start it cold? The baby mode is a good way to keep yourself from pushing it until the oil is up to temp.

And seriously, it's so hard to press the one button? I assume you have DCT and only run it in D.

I was under the impression that you could make all typical M-mode settings as default in the idrive. I'll have to take a look at that again.

Personally I drive with sport steering as default, but prefer to save MDM mode, most aggressive gearchange and power setting for the M button.

Now if you want the little "M" light to shine all the time, that would probably take some doing.

Got it haters. Didn't mean to piss you all off. Guess I should have put a smiley face on it since it was just a joke. Now don't hurt your finger pushing that hard old M button. Out.....

Sport steering is also only available with M Mode on.

"The only things "locked" to the M mode is MDM and sports plus throttle (useful on highway only)." Wrong

"I don't know about first world problems, but this seems a silly thing to do." Sure, BMW adds silly features, says so right in the Owners manual M Mode is a silly feature

"Why do you want your car in balls-out mode the moment you start it cold?" Please don't confuse being in the balls out mode and driving in balls out mode. Just not the same

"The baby mode is a good way to keep yourself from pushing it until the oil is up to temp." Being adult I also can wait to push it until the oil is up. Also since you think the M button is silly, that means you do not use it and you drive around in baby mode at all times.

"And seriously, it's so hard to press the one button?" No, but is is so wrong to want the car to be the way you want it at all times too much to ask? Yu must get up and change teh channel on yor balck and white non-cable TV being the I refuse to have it my way person.

"I assume you have DCT and only run it in D." You assume wrong. Why would I want M mode s5 all the time and drive in D.
