New to M3Post: E36 M3 to M Roadster to E92 M3!

Hey Guys,

New to the forums. I lost my M Roadster a month ago. Long story short, some guy stopped in the middle of the highway to make an illegal U-turn. I stopped in time, but the lady behind me didn't. Of course the guy who caused it made his U-turn, looked me dead in the eyes, and sped off before the cops could get there.

Fast forward a few weeks and looking for a new car. Test drove the RS5 and a Carrera S to try something new. About to pull the trigger on the Carrera S until this beautiful Alpine M3 popped up. Test drove it and fell in love all over again. Bought it that day and picked up a set of F14s a week later.

Here's the roadster. RIP.

Wow, just like the M roadster, the e92 M3 is going to be a timeless car. Beautiful pictures! I'm sure you'll miss the open top but the e92 M3 is a great car. Enjoy in good health!

Looks great - congrats

What are the wheel/tire specs you're running ?

The more I see of the Forgelines, the more I like them.

Thanks. I luckily walked away with just some soreness. Love the car though. Plan on keeping it for awhile.

I agree. I bought it as is. What's the alternative to the caps? Fill and respray the entire bumper?

I actually browsed pictures of M3s with the wheels and found an M3 with a stance I liked. The picture was on a company's site, so I emailed them asking what the setup was. It was the square set up. I considered 11" in the rear but they said it'd be a month lead time, and I wouldn't be able to take advantage of the Black Friday discount.

Funny you ask. I'm not 100% sure if it has been lowered or not. When I saw it at the dealership (not a BMW dealer), it looked lower than stock. I asked them to take another look, they came back and said it looks to be stock. When I put the wheels on, the springs were plain black. If anything, they're likely Eibachs since it's not an overly aggressive drop.

Definitely not stock height. It does look like eibachs or a similar spring set up to me.

IMO the easiest way of that, get a custom euro front plate and 3M tape it to cover the holes. It looks good to me, otherwise yes, fill and respray the bumper and you also get reflector holes covered as well.
