my 08 e90 M3 sedan jerez black - >introduction<

late introduction of my car, but better late than never

i sold after 10 years of fun and pure driving pleasure my 1993 avus blue e36 series coupe for a 2008 DTC jerez black sedan.

i was searching for a 6MT in interlagos or lemans blue, but no chance getting one in low milage and in this condition i was searching for.... so in the end i bought a 1 owner 3 year old jerez black for a price i couldn't resist.

technically in a perfect condition, one dent on the rear trunk, and pre lci version, but the price was the guide



after some attention to the cosmetics i installed:

flat black front grill
flat black sidemarker housing
OEM blacline taillights
Performance front splitters
akrapovic evo exhaust
H&R springs
performance mirror CF covers
Macht Schnell Stud kit
performance steeringwheel
cf airbox, AF intake, rpi scoops
and a set of M359 rims wit 8mm spacers around.....







after some month, a second round started:

h&R coilover setup
Brembo 8 pot capliers with 365x34 rotors (made by th-automotive.de)
Performance seats
oem tailpipe tips for a stock look
LCI Trunk + tail lights
performance style rear lip
LED angel eyes and chrome removal
canged the tires to 255/35 front (GTS setup)
and last but no least a electric rear sunvisor







and again after some month the story got some further updates:

OEM extended leather dashboard and center console
upgrade to LCI CIC navigation
rear seat cover which fits to the performance seats
black covers instead of silver performance seat trim
Brembo 8 pot capliers with 380x34 rotors (made by th-automotive.de)
OEM M3 CRT Exhaust
OEM M3 CRT Rear trunk lip
OEM sidevindow blinds (OEM sidecovers with imersible blinds)
g-Power supercharger installed with flat black powdercoating
OEM CRT steering
OEM 9,5x18 M260 rims (font&rar) installed (10mm spacers rear)
rod bearings changed at 70k miles.

not easy and not cheap ... but meanwhile front flippers are availible at different aftermarket manufactureres (th-automotive.de, RKP, IND), but rearlip was much luck to get a uses one from a car wich was modified by a german tuner.
exhaust was also used.... but OEM CRT

yes and no, stock SK1 kit dynoed and 538ps, but i have done some more mods (pulley diameter, and softwaremodification) but still wait for my modified headers to do a further dynosession

will post some more these days, setup is M260 (european spec rim, m219 is the later european and us spec rim - difference are weight and littel in design & color) square setup, 9,5x18 265 / 35 18 tires and rear only with 10mm spacers -> no rubbing, no modification on rear)

tha carbon one was a Goeke carbon, the second one in black is the G-Power box for the SC kit

akra out, crt in



this dashboard, custom wrapped with OEM leather was installed meanwhile, but i chaned it against a OEM leather extended dash... the olny reason was, that the oem matches better to sidepanels (plastic top to plastic top of the sidepanels)



and some action :_) passo stelvio (italy)




not with all mods (crt flipper rear is missing & sunblinds on rear..)

1 of 68 CRT Exhausts... If you ever sell or know someone that has one I would love to get one, should sound amazing!

I guess the driving dynamic of the 18" is better than the 19" wheels, so good you managed to fit such big calipers and disks too.

I'm just so happy to see your tasteful & expensive mods

yes driving dynamic is better, but i kept my m359 also becaus i like them :-)
big advantage on my square setup is, i can switch front and rear due to the same tyre size

yes one of 68 exhausts and trust me, i never understand how soemone could mod a original crt and sell parts.. but my luck at this moment :-)

by the way, you can also use a GTS exhausts and switch the rear rubbermount and shorten the connecting tubes 3cm... than the gts exhaust fits same as crt and sounds same way :-)

Well, I still like the rear to step out every so often to remind me that I am driving a RWD and she demands respect

Beats me, but thank God for those people. I thought GTS/CRT exhausts are Titanium? I don't think any place local, in Hong Kong, has that capability
