where do you fill up?
Where do you usually get gas for your M?
I usually fill up 93 octane at Esso but have been told that their fuel is not good so now I'm trying Shell 91. So far so good but was just curious where everyone else usually fills up. |

I wish we had 93 here in CA but we don't. I fill up with Shell 91 99% of the time

shell 91 only.
All gas, after all, you are paying for gas, not mixture with ethanol. That's why it's $0.18 premium over regular at shell; while I believe Petro Can charges $0.16 premium on their 91 version |

Some ESSOs in the bigger cities are slowly adding the 93 oct pumps.

Agreed. Everything else has ethanol, which I believe BMW does not like for our engines. Heard a rumour a while ago that Shell was going to bring out 94 octane premium fuel, but haven't seen anything develop.

Both my X5M and F10 M5 run on Petro 94. Sometimes I question myself, does it really make a big difference between 91 and 94 or the turbo's just love the 94.

Shell is the only gas station with no ethanol in their 91 octane so thats the only place I fill up. Everybody else has up to 10% (some places more)
