Adaptiv LED vs Xenon

Im choosing between to x5:s and have to disade which one i want tomorow, one of the cars does not have adaptive LED, only xenon.

What is your expirment whit adaptive LED? is it that much better then xenon?

Worth mentioning is that both cars have the head beam assist.

One clarification - both LED and Xenon are adaptive. Adaptive is the term that BMW uses to describe the lights that turn as you turn the steering wheel. Basically, they follow the car around corners for better visibility.

The choice between LED and Xenon is subjective - some on the forum swear by the LED's as much better, others think they are not worth the cost for the improvement.

If you have the money, and the vehicle that you want has LED, then I would recommend you get the LED. I would not let the LED or Xenon be the deciding factor, as both will serve you very well. The LED tends to be a more white light as opposed to the slightly blue light of the Xenon. The LED's may also last longer, although I don't think they've been around long enough to really know.

I chose the Xenon for my vehicle because I prefer the light color and do mostly city driving on streets that are already well lit. LED's aren't a huge benefit to me.

Good luck.

I didn't know they both turn with steering. That great news because I'm going with Xenon.

If you lease, get it, since it won't be that much difference on your monthly wise.
If you buying, get it, since you will regret it and it will be a very expensive retrofitting.
Also, it is a new technology and it looks nice. If you go with Xenon, you will get a regular halogen turn signal.

WeissLicht Spektrum LED turn signals take care of that . I've actually gotten much more head turns because of them...odd, but hey I guess every mod counts .

Ben is spot on. I hate the yellow turn signal, and it looks much better at night, you will regret not getting one.

Xenon lights are kind of getting old IMO. Def. go with new LED technology!

On such an expensive car, LED lights should be standard!

From my experience I'd go for the LED.
My old X6 had bi-xenon headlights and after a couple of years the light started fading out and it was costly to replace.
LED is more durable and preserves battery life.
