Hallo!

A friend of mine proposed me to share my E46 M3 GTR build with you, because you might like it I hope so!

The story started in December when I was looking for a cheap base for building up a nice track tool. I had no real requirements, only that I wanted SMG and Phoenixyellow, my absolutely favorite color So I started looking and found a 2002 E46 M3 from England. The price was really ok, so THIS was my new project!



Two days later I started to part it out....
First I only wanted to change a few things, but..... you know what happens when you start a really cool project..... more and more and more....





Now I also started to convert the car from RHD to LHD....



Removing and planing the new cable harness

While not being in the workshop, I spend my time searching for real cool race parts for my tool.... My ambition....to be as light but also strong as possible

Two sets of boot lids (Wethje for small spoiler, the yellow one for the big GTR wing) Also one nice CFK GTR bonnet

F***ing great breaks from AP Racing!!! (378x36 6-Pistons)



Milling new adaptors for those and the GTR spoiler:





And yesterday I got some super light and strong original Wethje GTR doors and other parts, SO cool!










At the moment my aim is to have a total weight of 1250kg when I've finished. The cage will not be very light, but we will see.

Where did you get the Wethje parts from ?

Wethje cancelled the production of ALL BMW parts. Even the original CSL CFK roofs are no more available now.
I just had good connections and bought ALL their remainder.
A few more rare parts left on my storage

A few words about the Performance seats:

Out of factory they have a total weight of 32kg and the position is very high! I stripped them down and build my own mounting brackets, so they now have a total weight of only 16kg each and my ass is down the ground
Due to the Performance seats don't offer as much support as a Recaro SPG, for example, the Schroth 6-point belts will fix it....
But when I find some Recaro SPG XL Carbon, I'll change them

The deadline I laid down my self is April the 27th.....but I'm not sure if I get ready so fast.

Engine is staying the same until it blows up. with the CSL airbox 360PS+ are no problem.
But when the S54 is damaged, then a S62 or S65 will be the next one

.........beautiful in Csl version but, next step, I love the S85 !!

S85 is such a mighty engine, yes! but it's also heavy.....
I've to get out as much weight out of the frontside of the car, as possible. So only S65 oder S62 are possible.

Finally got my dashboard from coating with flock (what's the right name in english?)
This was done to eliminate reflexions from the dash in the windshield. In my mind, also very valuable look. Very very dark color!

Here you can see where the alloy L-profile will be slided in. (Not ready just as the side plates for the wing)
