Tints in canada

Hey guys/girls,

I go to college in Ithaca NY, and later this fall I will be traveling with some of my buddies to Niagara, Canada. I was curious how strict the police are about window tints there, and if they are "illegal" like they are in some of the states. I have 15% tints and always seem to get nailed in small towns up here in Ithaca. But if any of you guys could give me a heads up of what to expect that would be really cool.

Not sure about the rest of Canada, but in Ontario, loosely speaking, it is legal as long as the front seat occupants are clearly visible from outside.

I don't think the cops here bother tourists too much so if your don't have an Ontario plate, they will pretty much leave you alone unless you do something really stupid.

Remember don't drive faster than 150km/H (93 MPH) on any highway that has 100km/H speed limit, or drive more than 50km/H (30MPH) overspeed limit anywhere. Under the new law they can take away your license and impound your car for up to 7 days.

yea, since ur plates are from elsewhere, i dont believe they will hassle you for things like tints. they will get you for speeding, running lights, and failure to yeild and other stuff like that and maybe tack on tints but really doubt it.
