E90 LCI - The most neglected 3-Series ever
Just wanted to state what I have noticed thus far when it comes to buying things for my baby. It seems like most companys went ahead and skipped production of aftermarket parts for the LCI altogether...
Now that the F30 is out, you guys think the E90 LCIs will ever get any love?

I'm purely cosmetics. For example, the pre-lci M3 front. I am surprised they never released one for LCI. That among many other things. Either way, I spend hours on end searching the web for new items to improve the aesthetics of my ride. MrJ you have definitely done right with your ride. SoCal seems to have the hook up on getting mods for their bimmers. Not too hard for you west coasters....

I never liked the pre-LCI E90 and never will. Too boring, flat and dare I say it, a bit ugly? Yeah, I think so. Those stupid chrome snouty things above the grill were horrible, the bonnet was vast and flat, the mirrors useless, the lights of appauling quality and the alloys on offer were ghastly! The only way out was M Sport but even then the stupid snout things, crap kidney's and awful lights remained!
Then the LCI came along. It was perfect. And I think its one of the greatest looking 4 door saloon's ever made. The lights were awesome, the whole car including the bonnet had more features, the alloys were awesome the snout things were gone and the kidney's looked ace. Amazing how subtle changes transformed the car from one I disliked to one I absoloutely adore! This is why I think manufacturers should make the components to allow pre-LCI's to be updated. We had a good 3 years of LCI too!! The iDrive + Nav were also updated along with new paint. And the engines such as my 30d made more powerful and efficient. It produces no black smoke at all so it can have the lovely straight twin tailpipes unlike the pre-LCI which had the knackered turny downy ones. Eww!

The LCI corrected everything that I disliked about the pre-LCI - mainly the trim above the headlights and the oval tail lights. I don't really care for the LCI front bumper however, so I went for the M-Sport package that looks perfect to me.

Check out **********s.com
They have a lot of cosmetic parts for LCI's. I have a 2010 E90 335i M-sport and I got from them: CF grille, CF performance diffuser, CF license plate frame, clear reflectors and bumper plugs. These are just the tip of the iceberg though. Good luck. Quote:

A "lot" to you must be pretty slim The LCI is the bastard child and doesn't/didn't have the attention like the pre-LCI does, if you think they do you are delusional |

My position was a love/hate
It was late 2008 and I was back home for 2-3 weeks from Iraq and went and drove a fully loaded 2008 335i and got sold on the idea of buying one, I found the military sales group and got the order paperwork and pricing and decided to pull the trigger on one. I also got told the car was "changing" and would be different than what I drove "ie: LCI" no pics/specs etc.. until the EU car was leaked and I still wasn't 100% sold on it lol |

hey i still love my 07 335i... though i admit LCI looks better. those early N54's were the most powerful / underrated ones!
but again, yes LCI sedans look awesome. but to me, pre-LCI's look classic and handsome too, not ugly. thats little overboard. |

What is currently on offer is only sufficient to change the look slightly and that's only if you are into things like stick-on carbon fiber B-pillar covers and headlight eyebrows. Its awful. |

Have you guys seen the Kerscher Body kit available for the pre-LCI? That thing is pure beauty.
If you try looking for stuff for the LCI, you click "06+ 3 Series" it to find everything in there saying this "For pre-LCI models only" or "2006-2008".... I never thought the pre-LCIs to be ugly, but after the LCI came out it really did make it look like Sarah Jessica Parker(Pre-LCI) standing next to Jessica Biel(LCI), no contest. The only thing that still turns me off is the multiple piece grills. Why would you have those moustaches on the hood? Just like the F30, Why would you put that hood line right through the middle behind the Roundel?!?!
