Getting shafted by Alex@Alpine, anyone else in the same shoes? [RESOLVED]

So my HID AE crapped out on me July 10th. I contacted Alex through his email and he wrote back right away. He advised me to send the whole kit back and he would fix anything that wasnt working.
At this point, i am like awesome! This is great customer service.

I send the kit back on July 13th and i send it express so i can get them back asap. He receives the kit by July 23 at which i contact him asking how long he figures till i get it back. July 28 he says my kit will be sent back that day or on the 29th. Since then i have not heard a thing from Alex or anyone at Alpine.

I have contacted Alex@Alpine through PM and email numerous times. I also contacted Leo@Alpine through PM and not a single reply. I tried to call the number he always attaches to his emails, and it goes straight to voicemail.

Im choked that he seems to be just wasting my time and money as i have no clue if they were ever sent back. Its been well over a month since they were suppose to be shipped back and i have nothing in the mail. I dont know of a mail service that takes that long so im basically guessing they never got sent.

Anyone else getting shafted by Alpine right now? I felt i needed to share this so nobody else get screwed.

Not sure what to do at this point. I want to buy new HID/LED AE's but i dont want mine to come in the mail 2 days later...

why is it that it seems like all these "make-shift" lighting kits made by these backyard garage shop vendors keep screwing people over?

Yeah... Alpine? If it's not the car stereo company that was great in the 80's, then they're nobody. I wouldn't do business with a company that doesn't have years of experience and excellent customer service and reviews. Maybe dump those AE's for something better and try to get your money back or sell them to the highest bidder. Also, be sure to write some reviews based on your experience with them and don't let up, unless Alpine agrees to pay you retail price for their failed product.

Alex has been in and out of the hospital for surgery the past few weeks, try contacting him again. He has always had the best customer service with me, I can't imagine he would do anything to screw you over, he's always been an extremely nice guy

bottom line.....ditch the HID kits and go with an LED upgrade like OSS. mine should be arriving tomorrow...and i'll be sure to write a review once they're installed.

Thanks for the information, i got in contact with Alex shortly after your reply.

[RESOLVED]

Alex contacted me and told me he had been in the hospital recently and was unable to reply to any messages.

Once i got in contact with Alex again, he assured me i was not being screwed over and apologized for the incident. He guaranteed me he would send me a new kit express asap. Alex kept me up to date and sent me tracking information as soon as the kit was shipped out. I received my new kit, installed it and it works flawlessly! I should also mention, Alex threw in a extra set of bulbs on his own will to make up for the miss-communication.

Just thought i would let you guys know!

Cheers,
Kyle
