Anybody own a S1000RR?

I've had an R6 and a CBR1000RR for several years and then sold them. My brother recently purchased an R1 and I may consider purchasing an S1000RR to ride with him. I especially like the DTC and ABS on the bike, but had many questions pertaining to them especially if the DTC is on will the bike "come up?" My CBR came up very easily and wondered if the DTC will prevent the bike from "coming up." If anybody has any useful information pertaining to price, DTC modes, ABS information, etc it is greatly appreciated.
