Sprintbooster in HK - Any Reviews and Suggestions?

Dear All,

Just wanted to see what the experience is with Sprintbooster in Hong Kong. I drive a slow 323i and will definitely want to increase my throttle response with Sprintbooster.

Any of you using it? Any comments / reviews? Is it suitable for HK's frequent start and stop traffic?

Btw, can you also suggest (or PM me) any shops you can recommend for installation?

Thanks.

Hi Stevensonlee,

Forget about it....I used it for a few days in my previous Audi A6 2.7 Bi-Turbo before......I took it off less than a week due to the fact that, it booosted up the fuel consumption fm 2.2/km to all of a sudden 4.1/km!!

Horrible fuel consumption while the booster is just asking the throttle to provide more gas to the engine and as well, the engine response is not linear which will seriously wore out spark plugs, fuel pump and other hardware parts' duty cycle!! Don't be cheated by the magic of how fast the vehicle can run in one block of testing usage!! My previous Audi was having overheat problem too when I used the sprint booster....not sure if Bimmer will lead to the same killer problem in our hot summer days??

Why don't you go for the BMS Power Box from Burger Motorsport?? You can contact Terry if you want to know more info about their products?? Not a really heaven and hell difference whereas, it will help the torque quite obvious enhancement.....Here is the link for your reference..

the responsiveness of the sprint booster is very erratic and you definitely do not want one. Throttle booster built into the PBX is much smoother and definitely the way to go.

I have the Sprint Booster and it worked fine for me. But that was before the PBX. Unfortunately PBX does not do anything for the 320i.

Yes, the piggyback won't do anything for model below 335i I think so.

Hey Bros,

Since I'm driving an E92 w/ the N54 Engine, I'm actually using the BMS JB3 2.0 which deigned purely for the N54 engine and I can tell you.... Terry of BMS is a very professional guy...he keep on improving his product by enhancing the program of its tuning kit in a very consistent manner!! I'm highly recommending his tuning kit even though, I never tried the PMX before....but I heard lots of good comments in our forum and othe channels though!! Take me for an example, I have recieved my latest software upgrade for the JB3 2.0 on 04/22 and this is the 9-10 times for me in receving the new software to enhance the program of my piggyback....since I bought my kits from him about a year ago....and it is absolutely "Free"!!

I suggest you folks to contact Terry in getting more detail and perhaps, gather a group buy to hassle for a better price!! Terry does worldwide shipping whereby, you will get the stuffs after Paypal the payment to him within 4-5 days via USPS......here is the email of Terry and whilst, buzz him an email direct if you indeed interested!!

Terry's email address: terenceburger@gmail.com

I had the SBv1 in my last 2004 e60 525i pre-LCI and loving it.
I have the new SBv2 which I got from a member in E60 forum at $2200hk
for my 2009 E60 525i LCI and it is the same as the v1 as in performance
