valentine 1 Help

hey guys

im about to get a v1 1.7 is it worth getting because i been reading alot and people say 1.7 is better then 1.8? i put the serial number look up and this is what i got...(one valentines one upgarde link) upgrade price 189?

Our best Ka-band performance, including full "superwide" coverage (33.4 - 36.0 GHz), today's long range, much better resistance to Ka false alarms, and POP Protection from MPH BEE™ III and Enforcer™ radars.
Our best X-band performance.
Our best K-band performance including POP Protection from MPH Enforcer™ radars.
Adds radar coverage on Ku-band (used in Europe).
Adds our latest laser warning, front and rear while reducing the "thickness" of your V1.
Adds False-Alarm Retraction to notify you when V1 finds that an alert in progress is false; also terminates the alert.
Adds Euro Mode which adapts V1's radar sensitivity to the way radar is used for photo enforcement in Europe and other countries outside North America.

so here is my point is it worth getting the 1.7 (used for a great price) or a 1.8?

Unless doing a direct side by side comparison, you probably wouldn't notice the difference between the two.

Get a 1.8. There is a reason why Mike and the V1 team did the upgrade. Look for the overall protection vs. a few extra feet of detection with 1.7.

1.7 is just as good as 1.8 when it comes to detecting k, ka. 1.8 is slightly better with laser (it'll try and detect laser hitting another car giving you a warning but the range is small). 1.7 will be plenty good for half the price. I use v1 1.7 and its amazing. The 1.8 looks a little better because its thinner.

Speaking from experience and as a V1 owner. If you get hit with laser while traveling at an excessive speed, you are SOL.

This is true, however the nice thing is that if the officer is gunning cars ahead you will pick it up. Additionally, I can tell you that my V1 has saved me a lot of hassle from the fuzz.
