Problem after new headunit install
i just finished installing a new clarion nx509 headunit into my e90 and i relocated the stock headunit so my SOS and my gongs are still ok and there are no errors but my AC doesnt work anymore. It turns on but only blows hot air. Any idea what can be wrong?

You sure you connected everything? If you have auto AC controls then there should be 3 plugs.

alrite got the AC fixed but now i have 2 new issues. 1st is that i guess my cars auto dim is making my headunit all whack like it makes it blink dim and bright. Can someone tell me which wire is the auto dim maybe someone can tell me how to rewire it so i just leave it on one setting. And the 2nd issue just occurred like 10min ago i was driving on the freeway and all of a sudden all my cluster lights started going on and off and all my needles died and went back like my whole cluster was going crazy and then it stopped out of nowhere. Someone help please

Sounds like loose connections again? Lol I understand how you feel though. I hate when stuff like this happens. I think you can leave the auto dim dissconnected but then the display is really bright at night. Try leaving it dissconnected and see if that solves the problem. If not there is a thread on here about a pnp harness to move the oem radio so people can put in aftermarket ones and retain the warning wound the car makes. I see you already relocated the radio. Did you Use this harness? I belive the thread said pin#14 is the illumination wire.

alrite i got everything fixed BUT i mayyy have wired something wrong in my headunit because my headunit doesnt hold memory and shuts off when the engine is off while the key is in. My stock stayed on when the key was in.

Well it sounds like your connected to the ACC power, which is switched when you power on and off the car (2 presses to turn it on, 1 press to turn it off). Correct? You might need something like this. http://www.savinglots.com/lotprod.asp?item=CANPULSE1 Not sure though. I have never insatalled an aftermarket HU in my car...only in hondas.

I would second what ********* said - the constant and switched leads are somehow reversed or at least not hooked up correctly. I know that in my e90 with L7 I have to run my own switched leads to the fuse box. If you wire them together it will work, but you will not have any memory in the radio (if I recall correctly).
