I5M60 Real World Range

Just curious-anyone have a good feel for the real world range on the M60? I can't seem to find any of the "experts" takes on this. But, I'm open to even antidotal information from current owners. Do you folks think it gets less, more or about the rated range?

Appreciate the help as I have a deal I am considering for one, but having a little cold feet on the range and the poor current charging network.

I’ll be blunt here so apologies in advance, no offence intended
If you are concerned about the range and the state of the charging network, whyare you considering a BEV?
Surely an ICE or hybrid would be a better choice at least at the moment

The i40 has better range but obviously you don’t get as much performance
If you are cinsering the m60 over the 40 that suggests you want some heavy right foot action in which case that range will drop

Just my thoughts

No problem. I like bluntness...

I have an hybrid X5 too. So, I can make it work. More just looking for information to add to my differentiators. The answer is not a "knockout" either way.

Not interested in any other BMW. Its either this or a Tesla.

German tests say: at 130 kmh (80 mph) on the highway around 25.5 kWh, which corresponds to a range of around 320 km (200 miles).

Here are some collected measurements:

After 740KM, I got an average of 24.9kWh/100KM. With 80% charged, it’s estimate range is 282KM.

FYI, the average temperature of this period is around -5° to +10°C

Because they killed the V8 and the M5 isn’t out yet.

After 800 miles I'm getting 2.7mi/kwh, which means about 230 miles at 100%.

I'm driving 70% highway (typically around 85mph) 30% local. Temp is around 25-55 in the past month I think.

So yeah, not great. But I charge every night at home so it's not an issue for me.

ok fair enough.

yeh that range certainly requires some thought about it especially if you have some fun with it.

So I pulled the trigger yesterday and moved forward with the car.

What an unbelievable car...

Quick question for the group. So, when I plugged it in to charge for the night, I set it to 80% and its saying its 175 miles. So, any idea why that's so low?

Is that just an estimate that's based upon how the car's been driven over its short life?

Yes, I believe the estimate is based on the way you drive. Mine was about 320KM at 80%, but after having some fun, it now says 280KM.

BMWs range is dynamic and based on last drive (s), no one out side of BMW knows for sure. For example, if I do lots of short trips (4-5miles) in my i4, my 80% predicted range is 220ish. However, when I'm on a road trip (averaging 70mph), my 80% predicted range is 250-265 (depending on other factors like elevation, wind, weather, etc)
