Stealth Wrapped my Frozen Deep Grey I5 M60

I've had lots of full xpel ppf wraps, to include a stealth wrapped i4, but I've never owned frozen paint and the stealth wrap looks great. There is a still a lot of depth to the paint's look. It doesn't look like clear coated paint + stealth wrap, there is a definitive deep look to the paint and that is exactly what I had expected and hoped would happen. I also added INDs frozen deep grey reflectors; this after the xpel team wrapped it and I can't see any difference at any angle or distance. The xpel team needs to clean some things up but since this car was their first go w the g60, tweaks were expected.

Looks great, do you mind if I ask what level of tint you have on the side windows?? Looks dark in a couple of the photos but might be because the car is in the shade.

I wish we had constant warm weather in NC. I would’ve opted for those 21’s on mine. Looks incredible! I got a few quotes between $1500-$2000 for front end PPF.

I'm in NC also and opted for 19s for the range on the one I ordered. If you find a great place for PPF/Ceramic, please do let me know!

Is the stealth wrap easier to keep clean than the factory matte/frozen finish?

I've never owned frozen paint but everything I've read points moreso to the care required to keep it clean than it does to the ease of cleaning. Closely related obviously but some minor differences there. I can say with certainty that stealth wrap cleans soooooo easily. Super easily, if that helps.

Great pics! I was thinking of Stealth PPF for my Oxide Grey M60, but after asking my installer, he said,

Quote:
We have to remove door handles, mirrors, tail lights, window trims, badges, possibly headlights depending on the gap, otherwise we can’t tuck everything and you’ll see gloss poke through or have dirt build up on edges fairly quickly. And then sometimes with these newer cars with tons of sensors you have to go to the dealer for a reset on computer after we pull certain parts off because they set off everything.
In light of that, I chose to do regular gloss PPF just on the front to avoid having anyone disassemble parts of the car. I've had issues with the sensors and cameras of these advanced cars in the past and don't want anyone other than a BMW tech poking around.

I went to a local xpel tint/PPF shop to get some quotes. They were taking off old PPF from a Cadillac Escalade. They said the car was less than a year old and the customer wanted the clear PPF off in order to wrap the whole car in a different color.

While I was talking to the owner, we heard the employee yelled a loud "F--- #$@$^@"... apparently while taking off the PPF, a large piece of paint came off the hood, about the size of a tennis ball. Is this common even for good quality PPF like xpel? I didn't ask, but I assumed that when stuff like that happened, the shop would pay to repaint the car?

I have a Frozen Pure about to be delivered. Planning on stealth wrap entire car. Did OP have the PPF covering the gloss black in front bumper area? what about the black sides under doors? also did you PPF the gloss black in rear diffuser area?

How long had the PPF been on the car? Was it installed using an adhesion promoter?

Obviously the shop was at fault. But I think it would be useful to know those two things (for example, if the car owner left the PPF on the car for years longer than was recommended).

it was a 2023 Escalade, so the ppf was probably less than a year old? it look like it just left the showroom.

I have no idea what adhesion promoter is. I'm new to ppf.

All of the areas you questioned are indeed clear wrapped.
