N20 help bad PCV?

Hello.

My N20 engine has excessive pressure coming out of the oil filler when cap is removed.
Engine has a little over 100k km's on it, 2013 car.

Can this be a faulty PCV/CCV?

How did you determine it was excessive? I see similar behavior in my 2013 car, although I haven't measured it or have a way to measure it, all of my research indicates this is normal. If there is oil dripping from the oil filler opening replace the cap with good oem one or at least the seal. This helped in my case. My car has 192km and I have replaced all timing components with updated parts.

I bought one of the VTT Billet BMW Crankcase Breather (search for that) from a member here to test, but the flange doesn't quite fit the opening on my valve cover. It's maybe off by 1mm. I plan to shave it down and try if I ever get time.

I ran the VTT Billet BMW Crankcase Breather on my N20 and it was a disaster on track. I ended up with an engine bay full of oil. I think it's because the oil fill cap location is so far down on the right side that under braking or hard left turns, oil builds up and comes out (same kinds of corners that cause oil starvation, possibly related?)

Thanks for the feedback. I was worried about that since when I pull the cap there seems to be a lot of oil spray in that area. I wonder how it would work on the street.
