XM new HUD layout. Is it new IDrive 8 feature or XM
I noticed that they revised the HUD layout in the XM reviews. Picture attached. Basically, looks like there is a linear horizontal rev counter now at the bottom of the HUD in that. I hate how the g80 has it at the way way at the top of the HUD screen, which impeded on the view in front of the car on the road with all this stupid empty space below for Navi and other things in M mode that are totally useless. If I'm in M display, it should just be tech, speed and gear at the bottom of the HUD so it's in view but not in the way of seeing the road ahead. Really hoping that those with the LCI can confirm it's a new IDrive feature and not the XM specific.

Off topic, but I'm surprised by how slow to 60 the XM is. Tested to 3.8s by carwow. With such a big engine with electric assist I expected better. Shifting / kickdown also seems to be poor similar to the hybrid AMG.
Makes me wary of a hybrid M3 or M4. We may truly be in the last of the best.

This is what the HUD looks like in ID8 and M mode (sorry for the quality). Navigation would come on top of that (not under). Reduced mode makes the tach thinner.
