Missing - auto-tilt side mirror when reversing?

Coming from Lexus ans Porsche, I didn't find auto-tilt window function. Is there such function on new X1?

Yes you just need to have the mirror adjustment switch pointed towards the passenger side. If it's on the drivers side it won't tilt, gives you the option then to tilt or not.

My wife doesn't like it so doesn't point it to the passenger side, but you can just switch it across and tilt it goes.

In the US, the switch is pointed towards the drivers side (left) to tilt down. Probably one of those things that didn’t get mirrored in RHD markets like the armrest lid.

Ah ok, to be fair it could be the same for us, I can't remember. Either way if it doesn't work move it to the other side and hey presto it should tilt again.

Also, the driver mirror doesn't tilt. Only passenger side mirror.

Yup. I would be nice to have the option to tilt drivers side down on the rare occasion I have to parallel park on that side.

Indeed it is. Switch to driver's side for kerb view on reverse.

The convention on VAG cars is (or was) to have the switch set to the passenger side for kerb view on reverse.
