What are you using to track your build process? I just got my VIN today for my build coming to Japan..

I believe it is only available for US customers.

I only was able to see the starting date by entering the VIN in the usual BMW VIN decoders online…

If you have the VIN, you can download the MyBMW app on your phone and add it. It should show you some information but not sure how much exactly.
Alternatively, you can call the local BMW Genius service and they should be able to provide you with information about the status.

Ok seems like bimmer.work is the only VIN decoder showing all the options right now

My app would not let me add a car that I didn't own yet.

My garage is only for USA orders. It doesn't work for the rest of the world.

On my app, I have option to add car in production but only after it has VIN. My order still doesn't have VIN so I can't test it tho.

It works in the app…
I can see my iX1 but you cann’t really track the process…
