quickjack 6000-elx

Hey,
So I’ve got quickjack bl-5000slx, I use them all the time for my car, F80 and customers. Issue is these don’t work on F10/F90/G80s which I’m working on more. Seems like only the 6000-elx will fit the G8x cars. These seem almost too big for the f8x cars. Anyone use them on an F80?
Our car from lift Point start to the end of the rear lift point is 53” which is that lifts minimum.

I have used the 6000 ELX on many cars including F87 M2, F13 M6, G42 M240, and E93 M3, and B8 Audi A5 with no problems. The F13's jack points just barely fit as in the pads are all the way to the front and all the way to the rear. Hope that helps.

That’s awesome. I was looking at its size and they’re 17 inches longer than my current set, and I’m just thinking these things are huge.
Was weighing keeping both sets but if the m2 still fit on it then that covers majority of what I work on.

Actually, my apologies, I just realized that QuickJack changed the model names since I bought mine in 2021. I have a 6000EXT which is just a little bit bigger than the 5000TLX ( the 6000EXT has a 78" frame length), but definitely smaller than the 6000ELX (~86.75" frame length).

For your needs I would look into the 5000 TLX which has a much larger Liftpointspread than your SLX but a not much larger frame length ~76" vs 70" for your SLX model.

Issue is the lift spread on the g80 is to wide for anything other than the one I linked. I already have the bl-5000 which has the same lift spread as the TL-5000. Going with the ext version only gives me another 6 inches, which is still way to short for the g80
Trying to avoid having 2 difference quickjack sets for the cars I work on.

I stumbled across this...I have the 5000SLX which works fine for my other car. My G80 hasn't arrived yet but I was anticipating using them; apparently they aren't long enough per your experience. What about turning them 90 degrees? The width between jack points should fit?

I ended up buying the 6000 kit. It is absolutely massive and each arm weighs 100-120lbs. So not light to just maneuver around. I don’t have the room to go laterally.

Wow... they are huge!! Do you think the 5000 will work though on the G80 if you went 90 degrees? (if you had room). My car has yet to be delivered so I can't go out and measure lol.

It may, it’ll be close. I think I’ve seen someone do it. Just really limits your access under the car.

ok cool, yes just need it to swap out wheels, remove the front bumper to add some carbon bits/intake. Nothing too intense.

I'll be sure to report back when the car arrives and I try it out.

I saw a youtube video where someone put casters on their Quickjack. Great idea for moving, not so much helpful throwing it on the wall though.

Interesting HD does not name eg "Quick Jack" 6000elx in the product description. HD sells if for $1599 and on the Quick Jack site its $2005.00. I bet there are some pissed off QJ distributors that are selling if for 2K.....

I think you might have the wrong one. I highly doubt HD is selling it for $400 less than anywhere else. It was recently on sale for 1650(all of February )

If QuickJack doesn't have MAP pricing then a vendor can sell it for whatever they want.

I got my 6000 elx from Northern Tools. it was around $1700. I also use it for my E39 and VW Atlas Cross Sport. They are massive and heavy so I do not bring them out unless I have a lot of work to do with the cars.
