How do you do that? Not finding a good guide aside from adding a yellow tint to the bulb, which isn't really OEM comparable

It's a LED board swap. There's a thread in it, in the lighting section. I got mine from www.vinyldesigns2.com

I contacted Bayoptiks (https://bayoptiks.com) and this is what they said:

"We have the yellow CSL DRL available for your 22 X3M. They are $300 shipped for the complete set and are an easy plug and play install. You simply remove and plug the OEM DRL modules from your OEM headlights, pop out the OEM LED boards and install/plug in our new CS yellow DRL LED boards. They are specifically designed for your 22 X3M."

"they are designed to be CSL Yellow. One module is at the top of the headlight, the other module is behind towards the corner. You should be able to access the back module through the fender liner."

So it's a plug n play option. No taking the headlight apart, all you do is pull the led board and put the new board in.

The French ran "yellow lights" in the 40's. Nothing new.

A decree of November 3, 1936 which imposes yellow headlights

The obligation to change the headlights to yellow comes from a decree dated November 3, 1936. Initially, the obligation concerns vehicles put into circulation from April 1937 then all vehicles from 1939. In reality, it was not until the end of World War II that all vehicles adopted yellow headlights.

Hey bud, I haven't. I just got my car a month ago and did full ppf and ceramic coat which cost close to 7k and then bought the center console carbon fiber and then replaced the factory tires with Michelins pilot sports 4 all seasons, so I spent way too much recently. I didn't press them on videos or guides since I am probably not going to be buying it for another few months. But it's definitely something I want to do, just not trying to spend so much money on the car at this point.

But if you email them I am sure they will provide you the details, they have been very quick with their responses and based on the work they have done for the bmw headlight customization community, they definitely know their stuff - check out their work on social media, they got a big following.
